
What to Expect
We will meet on an individual basis for around 53 minutes. During our first session, I will complete my mental health assessment by asking you background information: what your home life was like, and what major life experiences have shaped you. We also collaborate on a treatment plan that caters to your needs and goals. It is common for us to tweak the treatment plan as life happens and as you learn more about yourself and your needs!
The following sessions will be less structured. Clients who get the most out of sessions with me are taking mental or literal notes of their thoughts, feelings, reactions, and/or relationships patterns in between sessions. Throughout treatment, we will build emotional regulation skills and practice mindfulness. In terms of my style, I try to meet you where you are at on any given day, while also pushing you to work towards your treatment goals. Fidget toys, kinetic sand, art supplies and yoga mats are available for my more tactile clients.
